WORLD PAC INTERNATIONAL AG was founded in October 1986 in Vaduz, Principality of Liechtenstein as an AG under Swiss-Liechtenstein law. The company’s goal is the development and marketing of innovative food packaging. WORLD PAC INTERNATIONAL AG sells these products through agencies in more than 30 countries. Since 1994, WORLD PAC INTERNATIONAL AG has developed and sold innovative food packaging for the food industry, specializing mainly in the meat and cheese industry. 1993 The first innovative product - SUN-SPICE casings and flatfilm - of WORLD PAC INTERNATIONAL AG was launched worldwide. This product innovation made it possible for the first time to achieve an even spice coating on a variety of products such as raw and cooked ham and bologna type sausage. This application for cooked and raw sausage does not chip off and/or drop when slicing as the spice coating becomes part of the final product. 1996 The Single Kringel is launched, a super small caliber ring casing with a filling weight of 120 grams. This casing is suitable for sterilization as it is manufactured using PVDC. SUN COLOR CAS casings (Cook And Ship = High Barrier) and SUN COLOR film is launched worldwide. The packaging is printed inside using an edible colour, which transfers to the product and does not bleed into the final product. The manufacturing plant in Balzers, Principality of Liechtenstein, is enlarged to 800 square meters. 1999 SUN SMOKE CAS (Cook And Ship = High Barrier) is introduced worldwide with many accolades. This high barrier casing revolutionizes the production of smoked, cooked bologna and cooked ham products. 2000 Our SUN FLAVOR CAS (Cook And Ship = High Barrier), impregnated with different marinades and flavors, is launched worldwide with tremendous success. 2001 The manufacturing plant is moved to a new built facility (1.300 square meters) in Schaanwald, Principality of Liechtenstein. 2002 WORLD PAC INT. USA, Inc. in Sturtevant, Wisconsin, responsible for the USA, Mexico and Central America markets and a wholly owned subsidiary of WORLD PAC INTERNATIONAL AG is founded. WORLD PAC CONVERTING USA, LLC. in Sturtevant, Wisconsin, responsible for manufacturing our products in the USA and a wholly owned subsidiary of WORLD PAC INTERNATIONAL AG is founded. 2003 We have arrived! For the first time at the AMI in Chicago we present to the impressed food industry our newest innovation: SUN CARAMEL CAS (Cook And Ship = High Barrier) casings, which are impregnated with caramel that transfer during the cooking process to the product. SUN MAGIC bags and SUN MAGIC films are launched during the AMI in Chicago, too. 2004 SUN NATURE TWISTER, the first adhesive natural hog casing for all kinds of sausage, is launched. This casing provides consistent calibers and is available shirred or in pieces and can be used with all standard double clipping machines. 2005 Our newest member in our vast product range: SUN BREATH bags and casings. SUN BREATH is a watervapour-permeable aging bag for air-dried raw sausage, raw ham and cheese maturing. This permeable packaging allows moisture within the product to escape outwards, decreasing the weight while preventing mold growth. 2006 World Pac received the Gold European FoodTec Award for impregnated high barrier casings at the Anuga Convention. Today, people from 10 different countries work in the WORLD PAC enterprise together to carry out the visions and goals of management. Our goal was, is and will be in the future, to develop and sell revolutionary products for the food industry. We are always open to suggestions, new ideas and unique products.
